Douglas N. Peterson grew up in Hillsboro, Oregon, graduating from Glencoe High School in 1994. He graduated with honors with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Agriculture Resource Economics from Oregon State University in 1998. He obtained his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Oregon Law School in 2001. He was admitted to practice law in Oregon the same year, and joined his father as a partner at his firm. Doug is an accomplished domestic relations trial lawyer, with an abundance of experience at handling difficult and challenging civil cases before both judges and juries.
In addition to the rigorous pursuit of his law career, Doug is an avid bicyclist. He has competed professionally in mountain bike racing, advancing twice to the 24 Hour Endurance Mountain Bicycling World Competition. He now competes in road bicycling events. Doug is an active member of the Hillsboro Rotary Club, the Washington County Bar Association, and a member of the Family Law Section of the Oregon State Bar association.
Doug and his wife are the proud parents of three children.
