John D. Peterson
An attorney who needs no introduction, John D. Peterson currently acts as an arbitrator and mediator of family law disputes. He is retired from representing clients.
John earned a reputation as a strong advocate for his clients. He is recognized in Martindale-Hubbell Legal Directory with an “AV” rating (the highest rating given) and has received the “Super Lawyers” recognition for many consecutive years. He has authored continuing legal education publications for the Oregon State Bar, local bar associations, and independent professional education sponsors.
John has been an active member of the business community serving two four-year terms on the Board of Directors of the Hillsboro Chamber of Commerce and many other business community committees and activities. He completed his second elected four-year term on the Hillsboro School Board in 2011. John has received a multitude of awards and certificates for his service to the Oregon State Bar and to the community. John is spending his retirement in the company of his spouse of over forty-five years, his three children and four grandchildren.
