John D. Peterson

John Peterson has earned a reputation as a strong advocate for his clients.  He has been recognized in Martindale-Hubbell Legal Directory with an "AV" rating (the highest rating given) as well as “Super Lawyer” recognition in SuperLawyers.com for 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2010.  John was admitted to practice in 1973.  Since then, he has not only become a well-known family law practitioner in Oregon but has authored continuing legal education publications for the state and local bar associations and independent professional education sponsors. He has also been a speaker for professional legal organizations on topics of his expertise.   

John has been an active member of the business community serving two 4-year terms on the Board of Directors of the Hillsboro Chamber of Commerce and many other business community committees and activities.  He has just completed in 2011 his second elected 4-year term on the Hillsboro School Board.  John has received a multitude of awards and certificates for his service to the bar and to the community.  When not actively at work in his practice,  John enjoys the company of his spouse of 43 years, his three children and 4 grandchildren.

Doug Peterson

Douglas Peterson was raised in Hillsboro.  Doug’s practice is almost entirely devoted to family law, including divorce, spousal and child support, child custody and parenting time, post-divorce modifications of support, custody and parenting time and enforcement of divorce judgments.  His Family Law practice also includes guardianships, conservatorships, wills and trusts and probate. Doug is most proud of his ability to efficiently and effectively handle complex divorce cases at a great financial value to clients. 

When he is not practicing law, Doug spends time with his family and the many activities his children enjoy. Doug is an avid cyclist and regularly competes in races in Oregon and around the Pacific Northwest.  He is a member of the Hillsboro Rotary Club.

Lauren Walchli

Lauren E. Walchli grew up in Reno, Nevada, but her father's family are fourth generation farmers in Hermiston, Oregon. She moved to the Portland area after completing law school. Proficient in Spanish, Ms. Walchli also has the pleasure of working with the Spanish-speaking community. 

Having lived for a time in Denmark, Spain and France, she loves to travel, experience other cultures and learn new languages.  When she is not working, Ms. Walchli enjoys kickboxing, reading and spending time with her husband and two cats.
